I bought this unit when I saw it on sale at a big box DIY store. It performed well out of the carton, but became progressively harder to start as time went on. Almost exactly a year to the day after it was purchased, it no longer starts. I pulled the plug and discovered there was no spark, tried another plug and still no spark.

The unit is warranted for two years, so I called Poulon's "customer service" line and after 20 minutes of robotic menus and bad music, a human did answer and told me these units have been having "coil problems". They were, however, very helpful and directed me to the local warranty service center. My receipt is all that is required to complete the warranty service.

The unit is heavy enough that you'll need to switch hands at fairly regular intervals. Tightly fitting pants are recommended because the side-mounted air intake will draw loose-fitting clothing toward it. But it does blow quite powerfully and can move even stubborn damp oak leaves. I tried blowing snow with this unit during blizzards in the mid-Atlantic area. Perhaps with light fluffy snow it might be handy, but otherwise, stick to blowing leaves with it as it didn't move much snow.

The tubes constantly need tightening on this unit during use - every 15 minutes or so, expect to stop the unit and re-secure the tubes to the body.
